Why move to Spain?

- Lifestyle - The way of living in Spain is based on the quality of life for individuals and their families. Work is important, but never outside of working hours and never at the expense of people's free time.

- Healthcare - In Spain, medical care is free for all Spaniards (you can apply for Spanish nationality after legally living in Spain for a period of time) and for non-Spaniards who are self-employed or have an employment contract. There are also very comprehensive private health insurance plans available, the cost of which is a fraction of US insurance.

- Safety - The streets in Spain and Valencia are very quiet and safe. It's common for children to play in the parks until late at night, especially in the summer. Firearms are prohibited for the general population; only police officers may carry them while on duty (when going home, police officers must leave their service weapon in a specialized locker at their police station, as they cannot take it home if they are not on duty).

- Education -
Spain has one of the highest educational standards in Europe. Also, school shootings are nonexistent here. Children often go to school alone, either on foot or using public transport from an early age. Most children in Europe speak at least 2 languages fluently.

- Economic stability - The euro is normally in a better position of exchange rate than the US dollar, and has recently become much more stable.

- Food - In Spain, food is cheap, delicious, and healthy. Spanish cuisine is internationally renowned, whether it's paellas from Valencia, cured ham, or tapas—everything is an experience for the senses. On the other hand, European food regulations are much stricter than those in the US, as excessive amounts of refined sugars are prohibited in foods. Other food preservatives that are permitted in the US are banned in the European Union. Buying groceries will not bankrupt a familiy, in spite of getting high quality and healthy products.

- History - Every corner of Europe, Spain, and Valencia contains history dating back at least several centuries, with all the beauty and bohemian attitude that characterizes it. As some say "It´s an open-air museum"

- People - Always friendly and willing to help, people in Spain tend to lend a hand if they can,  no matter where you are from, the color of your skin or sexual orientation. Everyone is treated equally.

So, why Valencia?

Valencia has been ranked the best city to live in the world according to Forbes magazine and Internations. This is because it's a friendly city with its residents. It has all the attractions of large cities like Madrid and Barcelona, but without being overcrowded, and with access to more affordable rentals and housing. Proximity to beautiful beaches, make Valencia a Jewel of the Mediterranean.
